Battery storage system makes Agrico Research flexible and energy-neutral

Construction of the new facilities at Agrico Research is progressing rapidly. So far, only one issue has required additional attention: limited electricity grid capacity, preventing an upgrade. With the purchase of a three-module battery storage system, this constraint now appears to have been resolved, which will allow the new laboratory to operate at full capacity. In the long term, this investment is also expected to deliver lasting financial benefits.

Agrico takes new mini-tubers storage into use

Last week the mini-tubers storage was completed and today the first cargo of mini-tubers was delivered. The storage is located at the Escudo in Emmeloord within walking distance of the head office and the Agrico Quality Center.

Jolene, consistent appearance in combination with good internal quality

This year Agrico once again has a number of new varieties that have been added to the Dutch Variety List. One of these varieties is Jolene. Jolene is a new variety in Agrico’s portfolio. It can rightly be considered to be a multipurpose variety, which is suitable for washed and packaged potatoes and for home fries.

Paradiso, a high yielding potato variety

Paradiso is one of our “spotlight” varieties. Spotlight varieties are young, innovative varieties within our portfolio that are currently gaining a share of the market. Paradiso has a high yielding capacity and a beautiful appearance, including after long-term storage. This variety is interesting for both seed potato growers and table potato growers.

Next Generation varieties Bangladesh

Our Phytophthora-resistant Next Generation varieties Carolus and Alouette are cultivated in Bangladesh. These varieties provide a solid foundation for a sustainable and healthy crop.
