Seed potatoes Uganda
Uganda’s potato sector is entering a new era one built on trust, innovation, and partnership.
Ugandans consume a lot of potatoes in their diet and there is a growing processing and consumption need for after products with plants underway for processors. Uganda rich in fertile soils and growing demand has quickly become a key market for us.
With the rise of crisps and chips processing, and several processing plants already in development, the future of potato farming is brimming with potential.
Agrico is proud to be part of this transformation.
Agrico is a global leader in seed and ware potato development. Through our joint venture Agrico Potato Services Africa (PSA), we’ve supplied the Eastern African market with high-quality seed potatoes from our cold store in Nakuru, Kenya since 2016.
We’re proud to announce that Mark Dieleman, through his establishment Dieleman Potatoes, is the official agent for Agrico in Uganda.
