Upcoming events 2026:
Weuthen Kartoffeltag
📅 Thursday 27 August 2026 📍 Schwalmtal, Germany
During the annual Weuthen Potato Day in Schwalmtal, Agrico will be present with an information stand and a demonstration field. We will showcase a wide range of both new and established varieties and would be pleased to speak with you. The event is free to attend and open from 14:00 to 18:00.
Potato Europe
📅 Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 September 2026 📍 Springe, Germany
Potato Europe will take place this year in Springe, near Hanover in Germany, and is a leading event for the international potato sector. Agrico, together with TPC and ZAP, will be present with a stand and demonstration field, where we will showcase our varieties and innovations in detail. Visitors will gain a clear insight into the performance of our varieties in the field and the latest developments within the sector. Our specialists will be on hand to speak with you and answer any questions you may have. From 1 June, you can register for a visit to the exhibition via the website.
Fruit Attraction
Agrico España will be present at Fruit Attraction in Madrid. This international trade fair brings together stakeholders from across the entire fresh produce chain and offers ample opportunities to establish new connections and strengthen existing relationships. You are welcome to visit us at stand 9E14 in hall 9 to meet the team and discuss the latest developments within the potato sector. Tickets are available via the Fruit Attraction website.
Variety and Seedling Show 2026
📅 Wednesday 4 to Friday 6 November 2026📍 Bant, Netherlands
From 4 to 6 November, we will be hosting our annual international Variety and Seedling Show at Agrico Research in Bant. During these days, we will present our new varieties and innovations, offering you an up-to-date overview of our breeding results.
The event also provides an excellent opportunity to meet other professionals from the sector, exchange experiences and catch up on the latest developments. Please save the dates in your diary; an official invitation will follow later this year.
Interpom 2026
Together with our French subsidiary Desmazières, we will once again be present at the exhibition for three days. You will have the opportunity to meet our colleagues, and of course we will be showcasing our new innovative potato varieties.

Mark Zuidhof looks back on Potato Europe with satisfaction
On 11 and 12 September we were at Potato Europe with our French subsidiary Desmazières. Agrico managing director Mark Zuidhof looks back on the international potato fair with a satisfied feeling.
Pragmatic solution to food systems transformation
Michel de Bruin drives Agrico’s expansion in emerging markets and leads global partnerships for food systems transformation. He plays a key role in regions such as Kenya, Tanzania, Ukraine, China, and India. All markets that are part of the geopolitical powerplay as explained earlier by Rob de Wijk. Michel’s understanding of local contexts and the difference that passionate people can make, has been instrumental in driving the success of these initiatives. As a practical food systems expert, he brings a unique blend of experience and passion for emerging markets to our symposium.
Potato Cooperative Agrico celebrates its 50-year anniversary
Today, potato cooperative Agrico started its 50-year anniversary in a festive mood. Throughout the year, Agrico will organise various events for growers, members, buyers and employees. ‘With heart and soil. Committed to the next generation’ will be at the heart of all of these celebrations.
Succesful and inspiring symposium
During the international symposium Food Systems Transformation, experts advocated for a more strategic and long-term vision on providing food security and the need for transformation of current food systems. The symposium was a collaboration between Agrico and SeedNL and aimed to provide insight into the issues of providing food security worldwide.

Very successful Potato Demo Day 2022!
Yesterday, the Potato Demo Day could take place again for the first time since 2018. During this day, our colleagues were ready to welcome everyone to the booth.
Successful participation Agrico Weuthentag 2022
Agrico was present at the Weuthen Kartoffeltag in Schwalmtal Germany on Thursday 25 August. Despite the high temperatures, we talked to many growers and traders about the past and upcoming potato season.
