Our potato varieties for Tanzania

We have carefully selected and registered three potato varieties in Tanzania. These three varieties have been tested thoroughly on several trials fields alongside other potato varieties and showed good results comparing to other varieties with yields up to 60-70 tons per acre.

Manitou

Manitou is our high yielding potato variety for the Tanzanian retail market. In combination with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and cultivation under irrigation, its reported yields ranged between 61.5 – 72.2 t/ha (24.6 – 28.9 t/acre)
