Meeting Agrifood Platform Ukraine
On October 1st, Agrico attended a meeting of the Agrifood Platform Ukraine. The platform aims to streamline reconstruction initiatives in Ukraine, focusing on agriculture. The meeting brought together Dutch and Ukrainian partners to explore business opportunities and investments in the Ukrainian agrifood sector, focusing on sharing experiences and expanding networks. Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Dutch Embassy in Kyiv, the Ukrainian Embassy in the Netherlands, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), and business leaders were present.
Agrico Ambassador Jan van Hoogen briefly presented the history of Agrico's activities in Ukraine and the Rebuilding Potato Ukraine project. This project is funded by the Ukraine Partnership Facility (UPF), a program from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency commissioned by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Agrico NL is responsible for project management and reporting.
Before the meeting, Agrico colleague Michel de Bruin and Jan van Hoogen met with Joost Klarenbeek, the new special envoy for Ukraine, to update him on the Rebuilding Potato Ukraine project and what Agrico would need from the Dutch government.
