Tell us a little about yourself

I’m Henk Feijen, CFO at Agrico. Although my title often brings to mind spreadsheets and annual accounts, I see my role as much broader. I’m curious about the people behind the numbers and the product that connects us all. Outside of work? I enjoy running, skiing, hiking and having a good conversation, and spending time with my family and friends. I am married and have 4 beautiful daughters.
What drives me? Honesty, trust, and responsibility. I believe collaboration starts with open communication and keeping commitments. You are what you do, meeting deadlines and delivering on time are not details to me, but the foundation of trust.

What do you do as CFO at Agrico?

I see my role as much more than only numbers. As a strategic financial partner, I work closely with our CEO, Mark Zuidhof, among others, to help shape our long-term strategy. I safeguard Agrico’s financial health, ensure transparency and risk management, and help the organization seize opportunities and navigate challenges.
In addition, I promote a culture of accountability and sustainability. Not because it’s mandatory, but because it contributes to a future-proof company. And I make genuine time for people, because ultimately, it’s people who make the difference.

What is currently going on within Agrico?

Agrico is at a crossroad of tradition and innovation. Digitalization, sustainability, and European regulations require decisions that impact the entire chain. For me, that means ensuring we not only comply with rules but also build an organization where processes and people reinforce each other. The recalibration of our 2030 strategy is a great example of this.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Working with people who are passionate about our product. Engaging in conversations, exchanging ideas, and solving puzzles together to make things better. I love turning complex issues into something practical and workable. And honestly, I enjoy the moment when strategy and execution come together that’s real synergy.

What is Agrico's biggest challenge right now?

The world is changing at lightning speed. Our challenge is to remain agile, innovative, and at the same time stay true to our roots. That requires smart choices, collaboration, and the courage to do things differently without losing Agrico’s essence.
For me, that also means making risk-aware decisions and ensuring that our governance and sustainability are not just words on paper but truly work in practice.

I believe transparency and collaboration are key. And humor helps. And remember: you are what you do. Keeping commitments, taking responsibility, and showing ownership that’s what makes us stronger together.
