Preface Mark

Dear colleagues, 

We've started again after a beautiful Christmas and New Year's week. I hope you had a wonderful time with your family and friends. Personally it was good for me to take a break from business and recharge.

Completely different season
This harvest and export season is completely different from last year. This will also be an important topic during the meetings with our members that we'll be holding in the Netherlands in the coming weeks.

The beauty of these meetings is that we can openly and honestly discuss our expectations for the current season, as well as for the coming years, in relatively small groups of growers. In my view, this openness is the foundation for a cooperative that wants to be close to its members. 

Confidence in the future
Even though the message for this season may be slightly less positive than in previous seasons, we see that our growers, along with us, remain confident in the future. The expectation is that the markets will become much more positive in the coming years than this season. But we will have to continue working hard together to achieve this. 

For now, I wish you all a good sales season with all the challenges that will come our way.
