Riviera is characterized by relatively rapid initial development and a moderately sturdy plant. The variety produces rather large, fairly uniform oval round tubers with relatively low tuber set and good regularity of tuber shape. Its skin finish is excellent and the variety shows limited susceptibility to bruising.
